Open a PSD in PhotoCraft
Launch the editor and use File → Open to select a copy of the PSD. PhotoCraft documents PSD and PSB support; a format name alone does not promise a match for every file.
Inspect the parts that matter
Check text appearance, fonts, masks, blend modes and effects. Missing fonts can change layout. Compare the important parts of your source with the canvas before editing.
Download the working copy
Use Save As to download the edited PSD with a new name. Reopen that download in the editor and, when collaborating, check it in the application that will receive it.
Make a separate delivery image
Export PNG for a flat image. A PNG does not preserve editable text and layers. Keep the PSD alongside the export if future changes are expected.

Questions, answered.
Does a PNG keep PSD layers?
No. PNG is a flat image; keep a separate PSD working copy.
Will every Photoshop document reproduce exactly?
There is no such guarantee. Check representative files, fonts, effects and outputs before relying on a workflow.
